A monumental linear chandelier of architectural sophistication by Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte. Fifty-eight thick beveled glass slabs in characteristic Fontana Arte cristallo project vertically in opposing rows from a horizontal rectangular brass framework, creating a continuous palisade above and below the central band; within this glass cage, a frosted glass drum suspends to house eleven Edison-base bulbs. The brass armature retains its original patina, professionally cleaned. Interior paint original to the period. Glass in excellent condition.
